PUPPY CONTRACT AND PURCHASE AGREEMENT

This is the contract and purchase agreement for an Olde English Bulldogge puppy produced by Legendary Bulldogges Kennel. Kennel nickname of puppy is __________________________.This puppy was born on_________________________________.

DEPOSITS/PAYMENT/SHIPPING

A $500 deposit will be required to hold your puppy. Puppies are picked on a first come, first deposit received, first serve basis. Deposits can be paid on our website via paypal (preferred), cashiers check, money order or cash or money gram. If you would like to pay with a personal check you must first call to discuss. Personal check acceptance is at the discretion of Legendary Bulldogges. Your puppy cannot be put on reserve until the deposit is received. If deposit is paid via personal check, your puppy cannot be placed on reserve until your check clears our bank.

Deposits are Non-Refundable.

The puppy must be paid in full by 6 weeks old. If payment has not been made by 6 weeks, Legendary Bulldogges will contact buyer. Buyer will be given 72 hours to pay in full, or otherwise give the buyer an opportunity to make suitable payment arrangements.

If buyer fails to comply or make payment within the agreed time frame, puppy will be put up for sale again and buyer will forfeit puppy any and all payments made. If there are unusual life circumstances that would prohibit buyer from being able to complete the purchase of puppy such as: death of a close family member, serious illness or other such uncontrollable event, buyer may call Legendary Bulldogges to discuss circumstances. Decisions about puppy/deposits paid and all other matters pertaining to said puppy will be at the sole discretion of Legendary Bulldogges.

Puppy must be picked up by 9 weeks of age or buyer will be charged a $25 a week boarding fee along with any other expenses/veterinary checks/vaccinations given. These additional charges must be paid for before picking puppy up.

Shipping is available and can be arranged by Legendary Bulldogges, but shipping cost is the responsibility of the buyer and is not included in the agreed price of the puppy.  No shipping arrangements will be made until puppy is paid in full.

Legendary Bulldogges can arrange to ship your puppy via air transport, professional ground transport, or in some cases if it is a reasonable distance, we can drive your puppy to you or meet you half way. It is the responsibility of the buyer to cover Legendary Bulldogges gas expense in such cases and must be paid in advance.

LEGENDARY BULLDOGGES PUPPY GUARANTEE

Your puppy will arrive to you in good physical condition at the time of shipment and or pick up and up to 48 hours thereafter. It is the responsibility of the buyer to take puppy to a licensed Veterinarian for a complete physical examination within 2 business days of receiving puppy.

Your puppy is guaranteed to be free from any genetic/hereditary defects that can cause death or serious impairment of vital functions in the puppy, until puppy is 2 years old. In the event your puppy develops an inheritable/genetic disease before his/her first birthday that is life threatening or causes serious impairment of vital functions, then buyer is entitled to a replacement puppy. Arrangements must first be made to place diseased/impaired puppy back with Legendary Bulldogges.

For this guarantee to be valid, Legendary Bulldogges requires documentation from a licensed Veterinarian in writing clearly listing the problem. We reserve the right to a second veterinarian opinion and this will not be paid by Legendary Bulldogges. If said puppy has an issue we will give you a replacement puppy of equal value when one comes available. If buyer desires a puppy with a higher purchase price, then purchase price will be applied and buyer can pay the difference.

Puppies are at risk for Coccidia, and Giardia which are bloody stools which are often associated with the stress of shipping, a new home, new food, new people, change of climate or surroundings, etc. Puppies that are shipped also seem more prone to have bouts with Coccidia or Giardia. Another thing that may show up with shipping and or the stress of moving and a new home is Kennel cough (Bordatella – a raspy couch may be signs of this) which is common in dogs that are shipped and is usually caused by bacteria. Kennel cough is self limiting and like the common cold, must run its course. Full recovery is expected with kennel cough, Coccidia or Giardia on their own and are not life threatening. You need to be aware that these things can arise and that they are usually not serious (even though seeing bloody stools can seem serious) and can be easily treated. WE WILL NOT AND DO NOT COVER THE ABOVE LISTED ISSUES.

Your puppy will have his/her tail docked and be micro chipped, and receive his/her first worming, and vaccinations before arriving to you. You will be provided with full information and dates for vaccinations and worming. Your puppy will receive first vaccinations at 6 weeks at our facility. No replacement puppies will be given in the case of Parvo.

This guarantee does not cover what in the bulldogge breed some may consider normal or beyond our control such as: Cherry eye, entropian or loose hips, stenotic nares (loud sounding or "sniffing" when breathing). We cannot guarantee the puppy will not contract mange in the future. Mange is a multifunctional genetic disease that can be transmitted in a recessive manner. There is much dispute between experts as to the differing specific causes of mange, including environment, stress and nutrition. Therefore we cannot guarantee against it. We are not geneticists and cannot predict genetic problems. Many believe diet and stress are causes of mange and we have no way of controlling if the buyer is properly caring for the dogs. We do not knowingly breed dogs that have undesirable conditions such as mange, but we cannot guarantee that previous generations did not have these conditions in their line, unbeknownst to us.

General Information

Every line of dogs has some issues common to their breed. The Olde English Bulldogge is a re-creation of the Bulldogges of Olde and was re-created for the purposes of eliminating some of the health problems common to the English Bulldog. This re-creation of the bulldog was successful in eliminating some of the issues of the common bulldog, however, a bulldog is still a bulldog. Some of the common problems of the bulldog may arise that are directly related to what we find most desirable about the breed. The flatter face, rolling gait, short tail, and big chest are examples. A buyer should do all they can to learn about the breed before purchasing an Olde English Bulldogge.

THE BUYER AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING:

This puppy is to be registered with the IOEBA (International Olde English Bulldogge Association), and some pups will also be able to be registered with C3 (Champion Canine Club). Puppy temporary registration papers will be available either when the puppy is picked up or delivered, or if we have not received all papers from the registries, the temporary registration papers will be mailed to the buyer at the address provided.

The buyer agrees to use the kennel name "Legendary Bulldogges" on the prefix of the registered name. For example if you name your puppy "Spike" your puppies registered name will be "Legendary Bulldogges Spike".

The buyer is buying the puppy with full registration rights but agrees to the following conditions:

If buying a female, buyer must not allow the puppy to breed before her second heat cycle or 1 year of age. And buyer also agrees to not breed puppy on every heat cycle consecutively. Ultimately the health of the female is important and a responsible buyer should take this in consideration and act responsibly.

If this puppy is a male, then buyer must not use puppy for breeding before 1 year of age.

When the decision to breed the puppy is made, buyer must notify Legendary Bulldogges of the intent. Buyer must only breed puppy with another pure bred Olde English bulldogge. Buyer must also comply with the IOEBA’S "Breeders Code of Ethics".

The buyer agrees the puppy will never be abused, neglected, or used for any kind of illegal purposes. Buyer also agrees to provide proper shelter, food, water, and never leave the puppy on a chain for extended periods of time. Buyer also commits to provide necessary veterinarian check ups and vaccinations. If the puppy ever shows signs of neglect or abuse, ownership of the puppy will immediately return to Legendary Bulldogges without any return of monies buyers paid.

Legendary Bulldogges understands that circumstances can and do sometimes change, so in the event that the buyer can no longer own a dog or provide proper care for the puppy, buyer must not take puppy to an animal shelter or breed rescue. Instead buyer must return puppy to Legendary Bulldogges, without return of monies buyer paid.

This puppy must never be given away, or sold to any individual, company or research facility without the written permission of Legendary Bulldogges.
